Volunteers play a vital role and are always needed at Community Violence Solutions.  There are many volunteer opportunities at Community Violence Solutions both single-time experiences as well as on-going participation.  

On-going Service Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Crisis Line Volunteer

Become a Certified Sexual Assault Crisis Counselor on the Rape Crisis Center crisis line.  If you're looking for a chance to make a direct personal impact with sexual assault survivors, consider becoming a volunteer with Community Violence Solutions.  Our 55-hour state approved course provides you with the skills to join the team on the Rape Crisis Center's 24-hour crisis line as a volunteer sexual assault victim counselor.  You'll take weekly shifts at home and respond in person to assist child and adult victims of sexual violence.

  • Youth Training and Leadership

Join our high energy Prevention & Outreach team by volunteering for our summer internship program.  Youth volunteers of this program shadow classroom volunteers, attend trainings, and offer youth perspective to the annual review of all curriculum.

  • Community Outreach

Use your public speaking skills to reach community service groups and faith-based organizations in order to inform the community about the services of Community Violence Services and the importance of working together to address the issue of sexual assault.

Become a leadership volunteer by joining the Community Violence Solutions Board of Directors.  The board serves with the executive team of the agency to provide governance and fundraising while participating as a community ambassador.
